December blog: Carols by Candlelight at Blakemere Church
On Sunday 13th December at 6pm at St Leonard’s Church, Blakemere, Music In Quiet Places held its last concert of 2015: A candlelit service of nine lessons and carols with music sung by Hereford Cathedral School Senior Chamber Choir.
There was a packed church (in fact, a few latecomers had to sit in the choir stalls) and the choir was truly uplifting. Here, we can share with you a couple of photos from inside this beautiful largely 19th century church, but, unfortunately, not of the choir, as it was a service.
The second picture below is David Evans talking to HHCT Chairman, the Earl of Darnley, while we were having a glass of wine (kindly provided by Baron Lisvane) and mince pies.
